The
finest black peppercorns from the malabar coast of Southern
India. Very high levels of essential oils and a very hot and
deliciously fragrant flavour and scent when ground. Pepper
was the driving force for the age of exploration when European

faraway lands that produced this fantastic spice. Empires
and fortunes were built on the back of this trade, the splendour
of Venice was due in a large part to the spice trade and mainly
that of pepper. Pepper has even been valuable enough at times
to be used as currency - hence the term peppercorn rent.
