Dried
basil leaves useful for slow-cooked dishes or sauces. Once
the herb is dried, it lacks the beautiful heady scent and
clove-like flavour of the fresh leaf but adds a deep and pungent
flavour. Not suitable for salads or any dish where little
or no cooking is involved, the flavour of dried basil is really
good in a slow-cooked soup, stew or sauce.
uses:
Add a pinch to tomato sauces, stews, braised meats or soups.
