A
beautifully sweet scented and subtly spicy tagine spice blend
that makes a stunning aromatic Moroccan-style tagine. Strictly
speaking a tagine is the name for the cone-shaped cooking
pot but has become known as the name for what is basically
a spiced stew with a base of onions, garlic and tomato. Vegetables,
fish or meat are all good cooked in this style with the tagine
spices and a hint of sweetness that is crucial - add raisins,
chopped dates, honey or apricot
uses:
Use the tagine spices as a dry seasoning with a pinch of salt
for fish, roast vegetables or grilled meats. Use as a base
for a tagine or sprinkle into a soup or stew to add a sweetly
aromatic spiciness.
good with:
beef, tomato, lamb, root vegetables, chilli, seafood
