Dukkah
is a blend of spiced, chopped roast spiced hazlenuts originally
from Egypt where they are eaten as a snack with toasted flatbread
dipped into olive oil, then into the nut mix. The dukkah mix
also adds a superb crunchy texture and deep, gently spiced
flavour when used as a coating for baked fish, meats, vegetables
or sprinkle some dukkah over salads or soups.
uses:
Crust for baked white fish, chicken. Sprinkle dukkah over
salads, particularly potatoes. Mix dukkah with sour cream
or yoghurt for a dip. Adds texture and flavour to a sandwich
filling- suprisingly good with butter and golden syrup or
honey, strange but true! Mix dukkah with a bread dough or
sprinkle over the top of a loaf before baking.
good with:
potato, bread, yoghurt, sumac, white fish,
